The first and hopefully not the last.

Well what more can I say, before the night I felt confident but there's always that element of doubt when you enter such a high profile event. With consistent performances in my last 3 table visits (but no win) I knew I had to up my game if I wanted to progress to the next level. Web research and several hours of 'ultimate poker challenge' on Bravo TV had broadened my horizons and opened my mind to a wider style of play.

I pin-pointed three key areas for success.
1) Psychoanalyse each of my IronMan opponents. This was crucial, and I'd like to thank West Yorkshire Police for helping to collate the reports. 2) Patience. A game of stealth was key and worked brilliantly. 3) Luck.

The evening progressed exactly how I predicted and I couldn't have wished for events to have run smoother. Several early head to heads with 'All in' Jim gave me a chip lead and I was able to capitalise on the advantage.

IronMan IV is fast approaching and I'll need to be top of my game to regain the title.
Can I be the first to be a two time winner?

Dream on Monk, you'll never win again. Not whilst the fly is in town!
